Refrigerator Oatmeal

Being that I am taking care of a newborn these days, it can be very difficult to find time to eat, shower, and sleep.  One thing that has made my life a bit easier is eating overnight refrigerator oatmeal for breakfast.  I can make it the night before and grab it out of the refrigerator whenever I am up with baby in the morning.

There are a ton of recipes out there for this oatmeal, but I came up with my own that suites my taste buds and fills me up!  Also, oatmeal is really good for lactation, just FYI :)

What You Need:
- 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
-1/2 cup milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
-1/4 cup yogurt (I use nonfat greek plain)
-1 T chia seeds
-1/2 T honey
-strawberries

What You Do:
Mix everything together in a mason jar or Tupperware, put lid on, and place in refrigerator. DONE! EASY!

Second Half of Pregnancy

So I sort of left you all hanging at week 20 of my pregnancy and fell off the face of the blogging Earth.  I will use this post as a photo recap of the second half of my pregnancy.  Enjoy!

That last picture is actually taken the day I went into labor. Actually, I was already having contractions when I took the photo!

The last few weeks of my pregnancy I was living in maternity jeans/pants and tanks with cardigans over top. That was basically my work wardrobe and when I had the day off I was in sweats.  I got a lot of maternity tanks and tees from Old Navy and loved them!  I also got some tops from Target, Gap, and Destination Maternity.

My advice for dressing your bump is to live in your regular clothes as long as possible.  Long ribbed tanks stretch out a lot and will get you through the first 2 trimesters easily.  Buy maternity basics that you can layer and mix and match with cardigans and jewelry to save money.  Splurge on jeans and pants for work because you will get a lot of use out of them!

I'll update you on our bundle of joy shortly :)

Ivory 2-IN-1 Hair and Body Wash

Recently, I received the Ivory 2-IN-1 Hair and Body Wash to try complimentary of Influenster.  I was a little skeptical at first, because the only 2-in-1 products I am familiar with are for men or children, but I wanted to give it an unbiased shot anyway!

I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened up the bottle and smelled its light, fresh scent.  It is not what I would describe as a feminine or masculine scent so it would work great for men, women, and children.

Now let's talk about lather.  I know that lather does not equal clean, but if I am going to use a body wash and stick with it there is going to be a lot of lather.  The Ivory 2-IN-1 Hair and Body Wash did not disappoint in the lather department!  It actually lathers more than the body wash I had been using previously...bonus points!

So, the product definitely passed the test in the body wash department, but what about as a shampoo?  I lean towards shampoos that have a good scent, a nice lather, and don't leave my hair feeling weighed down.  Being that we already discussed the first 2 points (passed with flying colors) I will only address the latter.

The Ivory 2-IN-1 Hair and Body Wash did NOT leave my hair feeling weighed down.  I felt like it washed out really well and left my hair smooth and shiny.

So basically, what is not to love?!?!

Jas even used it when I originally put it in the shower and he is still using it now!  He said that he prefers the scent to other "masculine" body washes on the market.  You know what is great about that?  We can eliminate the 100 bottles of shampoo and body wash in the shower and just have one fabulous product we can both use and enjoy.
